Before the operation
All interventions, however common, constitute surgery. It is therefore important to take the operation seriously and follow any recommendations you are given. If you develop or suffer from an infection (flu, bronchitis, sinusitis …) in the days leading up to the operation, it is recommended that you inform us as the operation may have to be delayed until you are cured of the infection.
It is essential that you fast before an operation. You may drink up to 4 hours before and eat a light meal up to 6 hours before the time of your appointment.
On the day of your operation you should take any medication as normal.
No cosmetics should be worn.
Please do not forget to arrange for someone to take you home afterwards.
